Alan A. Musso, C.P.A., C.M.A. Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Musso joined Targacept in February 2002 and serves as Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.  He began his career working in the public accounting field at KPMG and later held positions of increasing responsibility with Pfizer.  Prior to joining Targacept, he also served as the principal financial officer for multiple life science companies and has extensive experience in capital raising, corporate partnering, finance and strategy.  Mr. Musso received a B.S. in accounting from Saint Mary's College of California, and a master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona.
