Mark Skaletsky (Chairman)

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Fenway Pharmaceuticals

Mr. Skaletsky has served in a variety of executive roles over his career, including as chairman and chief executive officer of Trine Pharmaceuticals, Inc., president and chief executive officer of GelTex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (acquired by Genzyme), chairman and chief executive officer of Enzytech, Inc. and president and chief operating officer of Biogen, Inc. He is currently chairman, chief executive officer and president of Fenway Pharmaceuticals, Inc., as well as a member of the board of directors of each of Alkermes, Inc. and ImmunoGen, Inc. and a member of the board of trustees of Bentley University. He is also a former chairman of the board of directors of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Mr. Skaletsky has been a member of Targacept’s board of directors since February 2001 and has served as chairman since January 2002. He is the chairman of the Compensation Committee and serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee.
