Dr. Snyderman is Chancellor Emeritus and James B. Duke Professor of Medicine at Duke University and the founder of Proventys Inc. His previous roles include chancellor for health affairs at Duke University, president and chief executive officer of Duke University Health System and senior vice president of medical research and development of Genentech, Inc. Dr. Snyderman has been a member of Targacept’s board of directors since June 2007 and serves on the Governance and Nominating Committee.
