Karen A. Hicks Vice President, Human Resources

Ms. Hicks joined Targacept in September 2000 and serves as Vice President, Human Resources.  She has over 25 years of human resources experience.  Prior to joining Targacept, Ms. Hicks held positions of increasing responsibility at Westinghouse Electric Corporation.  She is a member of the national Society for Human Resources Management, as well as the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.  Ms. Hicks received a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics from High Point University.
