Mauri K. Hodges, C.P.A., C.C.P. Vice President, Finance and Corporate Systems and Controller

Ms. Hodges joined Targacept in August 2000 and serves as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Systems and Controller.  Prior to joining Targacept, she served as President of Compensation Consultants, Inc., where she provided leadership and expertise on compensation programs for over 30 international, national and regional businesses.  Ms. Hodges began her career in 1977 as Senior Accountant for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and subsequently established and grew her own C.P.A. firm.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a certified public accountant.  Ms. Hodges received a B.S. in business administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
