Peter A. Zorn, Esq. Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Zorn joined Targacept in May 2003 and serves as Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary.  Prior to joining Targacept, Mr. Zorn practiced with the law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice where he represented and advised a number of emerging growth life science companies and larger public companies in connection with a wide variety of legal matters, including private equity financings, public securities offerings, corporate partnering, licensing and other strategic transactions, securities compliance and general corporate and contract matters.  In 2009, Mr. Zorn was recognized as an In-House Leader in the Law by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.  He received his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an A.B. in psychology with honors from Harvard.  He is licensed to practice in North Carolina and Massachusetts.
