Targacept to Present at BIO CEO & Investor Conference

Targacept, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRGT), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a new class of drugs known as NNR Therapeutics (TM), today announced that J. Donald deBethizy, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, is scheduled to present at the 10th Annual BIO CEO and Investor Conference at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
On Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m., Dr. deBethizy will provide a corporate overview that will be webcast and accessible from the Investor Relations section of the Company’s website, http://www.targacept.com. The webcast will also be available for replay on the Company’s website for at least two weeks following the conference. To ensure a timely connection to the webcast, it is recommended that users register at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
On Wednesday, February 13 at 9:30 a.m., Dr. deBethizy will participate as a panelist on a BIO CEO therapeutic workshop entitled, “Cognition: CNS Companies to Remember.” This workshop will feature a discussion regarding new technologies aiming to address the problem of diminishing cognition in today’s aging population.
