Our many years of focused research and significant investment have yielded an extensive patent estate. It includes patents, both issued and pending, focused on composition of matter and method of use claims, all related to NNR technology and compounds that act on NNRs. As of January 2010, our intellectual property portfolio included ownership of or licensed rights to more than 120 issued or pending U.S. patents and more than 550 issued or pending foreign patents.
