Targacept Announces Common Stock Offering

Targacept, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRGT) announced today the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 2,200,000 shares of its common stock.  Deutsche Bank Securities will act as sole manager for the offering.  Targacept has granted Deutsche Bank Securities an option to purchase an additional 320,000 shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
